Congratulations on your engagement!!  If this is your first wedding or your fourth, we can't wait to tackle your day with our enthusiasm.  We're here to listen to your dreams, cultivate your wedding style, and make the entire process a relaxing, fun and organized; we believe in having fabulous fun while planning.

Golden Chic Events & Consulting was established in 2007 and has continuously produced many upscale events weddings and galas, as well as corporate and charity functions. Golden Chic has won a national award, a Silver Anvil, for best charity event in the United States. We have been featured on national TV’s WETV in the show Get Married, and our weddings are posted on the national blog, Style Me Pretty.  Our design work, styling and editorial can be found in the pages of Veil Magazine, one of Wisconsin's leading wedding publications, and is featured in Conde Nast's BRIDES in the United Kingdom, and also the UK's Pink Weddings.

We have also worked with Universal Studios to manage and design the Milwaukee screening events of the movie Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp.

We have a reputation for legendary galas and charity balls, but when it comes to your wedding, the process is intimate and cozy.  Our couples and their relatives become family - we have dinners at our homes together before and after the wedding, and really listen, understand and empathize to what you are going through as you plan the big day with us.  We know - we've all been married!!

Golden Chic manages all of Wisconsin, Chicago, and Midwest weddings, and are working to extend our planning services in London, though our clients are worldwide - from Europe to Dubai, and around the United States.

You can find out more about Golden Chic Events by visiting Rebate Zone's interview with us in 2016!

Cara Hodgson originally joined Golden Chic Events in the spring of 2010 as an intern. After graduating from Marquette University with a degree in public relations, Cara spent time sharpening her skills in project management and event & vendor coordination at wedding venues before returning to the Golden Chic team as an Executive Planner in 2013.

Cara believes that every event is as unique as the client and loves discovering the distinct personality of every party. She brings a keen eye for detail and a passion for logistics to every event. Cara strives to make every client feel like a member of her family. When she is not working, Cara spends her time relaxing with TJ, her husband, Rayce, her son and Sakari, their dog. She has a passion for literature and music and hopes to share both with her son when he is old enough, but is basking in the joy of all of the baby smiles and coos for now!

Summer WhiteEagle joined Golden Chic Events in 2014 and bought the business in 2017. She is very excited about her role as the owner and operater of Golden Chic.

Terry Powers has been with Golden Chic since the very first wedding, all the back in 2007! She has loved watching the business grow and being a part of the amazing weddings, parties and the Public Enemies screening events here in Milwaukee. It has been an exciting adventure to say the least! As a graduate from UW Stout, she has past experience working with adults with disabilities in many capacities and settings. This background has fine-tuned her problem solving skills as well as ability to get creative in any challenging situation. Her calmness and easy-going nature help her work with both vendors and clients effortlessly, and she is adept at handling even the most involved event preparation.

Terry loves getting into nitty gritty details of each event and strives for excellent communication with clients and vendors. She absolutely loves that magical moment when all of those details and planning turn into the beautiful vision the client was both dreaming of and expecting. When not working, Terry loves spending time with her husband Cory, two young children Aiden and Aubrey, and the family dog Reggie. They love traveling, going for family walks, and baking. Terry loves dabbling in floral design, themed birthday parties and showers for friends and family and any craft project she can get her hands on!

Nicole Styles developed her keen project management skills working in the fast-paced advertising agency world. A graduate of UW-Eau Claire, she has spent the last 15 years coordinating many non-profit galas and corporate events. She has also managed trade show events, one which included a live zebra (and a donkey, long story!) within the trade show booth. She enjoys immersing herself in the vision for and details of each event she touches.

Nicole loves to create beautiful things, also taking on graphic design projects and working on her portrait photography business, Little Shoots Photo House. Nicole also enjoys working on home renovation and redecorating projects in the old Victorian she shares with her husband, their three children, and their pets.

Sara Dahmen, founder of Golden Chic Events, is very excited about Summer White Eagle's plans and passion for growing Golden Chic Events in 2017 and beyond.  Though she no longer operates the business or runs events, Sara will occasionally work with past clients or on special design projects for Golden Chic.

Sara has a background in broadcast television, radio, and print production, as well as corporate event coordination. A graduate of Marquette University, her gala extravaganzas are now legends in the city. With a portfolio full of event inventions and art skills from classes in London, she brings extreme creativity and personal touches to every wedding and event.

Sara reads The Economist and trains for long distance races, travels with her husband to seek out great wine and food, and teaches her two sons and daughter the arts of gardening, painting and bike riding.  She can also be found working on her American-made kitchenware line, Housekeeper Crockery / House Copper.
